Karl Connolly is a seasoned
technologist and attorney with over 20 years of IT
experience who combines technical expertise with legal
acumen.
During his 18-year tenure at EMC,
Karl served in multiple technical roles including
hardware and software engineering, corporate systems
engineering in Emerging Technologies, and backup and
recovery engineering. He was a founding member of EMC
VSPEX and played an instrumental role in bringing EMC's
Converged Infrastructure and first Hyperconverged
Solution, VXrail, to market. His expertise includes
integrating EMC NetWorker, Data Domain, Avamar, and
VMware products.
After passing the bar, Karl
practiced law at a boutique firm in Westborough for
three years, specializing in personal injury cases.
There, he represented clients during challenging
periods, advocating on their behalf and representing
them in court.
At Ingram Micro, Karl served as
Chief Technologist for six years, where he was
instrumental in developing the company's 5G strategy. He
created the innovative "SIM TO CLOUD" framework for
Ingram Micro partners looking to capitalize on 5G
opportunities. Through this process, Karl recognized the
unique differentiation that T-Mobile for Business offers
in the marketplace.
This insight led Karl and his
business partner to establish Netmaven in January 2024,
which was subsequently acquired by Cellhub. Karl
currently serves as both Chief Technology Officer and
Chief Marketing Officer at Cellhub, where he continues
to leverage his extensive technical and legal background
to drive innovation.
Karl holds a B.S. from
Bridgewater University, Massachusetts, and a Juris
Doctorate from The Massachusetts School of Law in
Andover. He is a licensed attorney and member of the
Massachusetts Bar.
